SYNOPSIS:

Marla Strange, a recluse haunted by her infamous Father, longs for a friend. But first she’s got to leave the house.

One day, bolstered by an old networking infomercial, Marla sets out to meet a friend from an ad. Instead, she meets Berlin, a punk guitarist seeking a singer. Desperate for friendship, Marla decides to audition.

But Marla must battle against her fractured identity to land herself a place in the band, and perhaps even...make herself a friend.

Gregory Bennett is an accomplished Director of Photography based out of Toronto, Canada. His most recent narrative film work was for 'NIGHTALK', a feature film directed by legendary Canadian filmmaker Don Shebib (Goin' Down the Road). Gregory has lensed numerous shorts, commercials and music videos and is comfortable in a wide range of styles. His work has been nominated twice for CSC (Canadian Society of Cinematographers) awards and he won the best cinematography award for the feature 'THE BAD MOTHER' at the Hamilton Film Festival.

Pascale Behrman is a performer from Calgary Alberta, now based out of Toronto, Ontario. She received a degree in Drama from Queen’s University and later trained in theatre performance at George Brown Theatre School, graduating in 2019. Since then she has performed in a variety of independent short and feature films, theatre productions, and played a detective on Unexpected Killer. Her past times are singing, dancing, hiking and attending concerts (pre-pandemic)

Born and raised in Toronto, Rebecca MacDonald has been acting since she played Cat #2 in elementary school. In 2019 she graduated from the University of Toronto and Sheridan College's joint specialist program for Theatre and Drama studies. Shortly afterwards she was cast in Alumnae Theatre’s production of “The Heidi Chronicles”. After being cast in “Lunachicks” in March 2020, the pandemic hit and the film, along with everything else, was put on hold. After finally getting to shoot “Lunachicks” in August 2020, Rebecca moved with her partner out to Vancouver, British Columbia where she continues to pursue acting.

Joel Fishbane is an actor, novelist, screenwriter, and general man about town. He’s appeared in numerous films, commercials, and theatrical productions over many years, has a few degrees that are taking up space on his mother’s wall, adores musical theatre, and is thrilled to be a part of the Lunachicks experience. His novel "The Thunder of Giants" was published in 2015 while his short fiction and articles have been widely published.
